The SA1180 Turbocharger Electronic Actuator is precision-engineered to control wastegate actuation on modern BMW turbocharged engines. Driven by a high-torque DC electric motor and monitored via an integrated position sensor, this unit regulates turbocharger boost pressure dynamically across all load conditions.

Replacing the mechanical/pneumatic vacuum wastegates of previous generations, this electronic actuator provides rapid response, accurate boost regulation, and improved fuel efficiency while preventing overboost/underboost fault codes.
